I have the best kindergarten class for my first year! Being in kindergarten, one of the things we work on is introducing technology in a safe and productive way. Several of my little friends are still working on letters and sounds. It is crucial that they learn these skills and with the help of extra technology that could happen.
My students will be able to use the technology to their advantage in learning their letters and sounds while some others are learning to read.
Technology is such a huge part of out lives now and it is so important that our students learn it appropriately as well. There are so many different programs that can offer amazing learning opportunities such as Nearpod, Seesaw and Education Galaxy. This project will help give my students the technology they need in the classroom!
My Project
There are several students in my class that are on different learning levels. During the literacy block I could have more students working on letter sounds and identification, sentence building and sight words. During the math block I could have students working on number recognition, number building and decomposing, patterning and more. Having more technology in the classroom would help me to hit all the different levels of learning in my classroom while still being able to provide personal instruction.
Having these Amazon Fire tablets will help to put technology in hands of these children.
The tablets would be able to provide direct instruction to those that need more of me to go around. For some students they can record themselves reading and replay it while others could have a book read to them or read their sight words to them. There are so many things that this technology could bring to my classroom.
