My Students
My students are an amazing bunch! They certainly keep me on my toes, as any group of 5-6 year olds will! I teach at a Title I school in Homestead, FL. A large percent of our population receive free or reduced lunch. Social economically, my students are up against the greatest challenges when it comes to getting an education. I want to help them as much as I can, in the time that I can, in the most efficient manner.
My Project
Wow. I don't know where to start. These laptops would make life so much easier in our classroom. Simply put, our school supports a learning program that creates lessons based on each child individually. Once a diagnostic is completed, this program will embed lessons that my students complete to build where they are in their learning right now. It is truly a great program. The challenge is not having enough computers in the classroom. My dream is to have enough computers so that there is a ideal rotation, time and learning is maximized, and all students are receiving the instruction they need.
