I am a Kindergarten teacher at a Title I school that serves 100% military families. Each day my students come to school eager to learn. My goal is to help children reach their full learning potential.
In this age of technology as students grow, I believe it is extremely important to educate them in the ways of the future.
Having this technology available in my classroom will provide a meaningful, fun and engaging educational experience for my students that will create a technological foundation for them to thrive, as they navigate through their educational journey. The goal of my classroom is to nurture all of my students in their personal and social growth so that they are prepared to meet the rigors and joy of education now and in the future.
My Project
I am requesting two iPad Minis with protective cases so my students can participate in literacy and math activities that will create an engaging learning environment. My students will use the iPads to utilize many of the wonderful applications and programs available to improve their letter identification, letter sound identification, sight word identification, reading fluency, and comprehension during Daily 5. They will also use them to reinforce math skills during math centers. The options are almost endless when it comes to having iPads in the classroom.
The opportunity to use technology will no doubt help my students improve academically.
