This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to incorporate an iPad and accessories into my long distance learning to better connect to my students and work together to solve mathematical problems with interactive activities to help motivate them. It's difficult to share your work and work processes with the limitations of a whiteboard. By screen sharing the iPad students would be able to see the process of problem-solving and contribute to the solutions. Moreover, the iPad and accessories from this project will increase the technological capabilities in my class. I will try to take every opportunity to engage and motivate the students to believe they can succeed.

The addition of a class iPad will allow me to try to maintain a level of normal during this time for my students by creating lesson videos and problem-solving during live lessons that will encourage them to keep pushing forward.

Students will be able to take on a more active role by putting the iPad in their hands. They will become the teacher to their peers by using the iPad to demonstrate their knowledge and together in real time solve problems together; for each other, building their knowledge and their community together. Finding solutions to not only help themselves but their environment for the better.
