My Students
Our school has a highly Hispanic population; we are Title I school with 100% of students on free breakfast and lunch, and with state testing, regular access to technology is a must!
My class is an amazing 4th and 5th grade class that is thirsting for additional knowledge!
They enter class every morning answering the question, "How do we come to school?" Their response... "READY TO LEARN!" And that they are!!! My goal is to make sure I am offering them every available opportunity to be the best they can be!
My Project
My students need 2 iPad minis. With these 2 iPads, I envision my students completing research projects, learning how to type, and using apps to enhance their learning. Students will learn how to operate technology that many of us take for granted. The additional technology will create a classroom environment where technology is readily available to broaden the students' learning.
The extra technology will change my students' lives because it is something that they will enjoy using.
When they are having fun, they will be excited to learn and come to school every day. At our school, we have a Bring Your Own Device initiative. The students who do not have any devices at home or available to them will feel a part of the classroom community with technology that they can use.
