My students need a set of iPads so that they have access to the latest educational technology. Our students use apps such as RazKids and Zearn to help build their reading and math fluency.
Our students come from culturally diverse backgrounds and speak many languages. The majority of them come from families where English is not spoken at home. Many of them face challenges such as lack of access to technology for learning and are achieving below grade level.
Being a Title I school, resources are limited for our students both in school and at home.
The majority of our students qualify for free lunch. While our students face many challenges, they come to school excited and eager to learn.
We need a set of iPads to share among the first grade classes so that all of our students have access to educational games and activities. Because many of our students lack access to technology at home, it is important that they have the opportunity to utilize it during the school day. We plan to share these iPads among the five first grade classes in our school.
Our students need access to interactive educational apps and games to help improve their reading and math skills and to improve vocabulary and comprehension for English Language Learners.
Our school has subscriptions to RazKids and Zearn, which we have seen make a huge difference in our students math and reading abilities.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
