I teach in a school that has a large population of low income and migrant families, and English language learners. For many students our school is the most stable environment they enjoy. Our school is a full inclusion school, which means all of our special education and behavior disordered students are included in our general education classrooms, which provides many opportunities as well as challenges.
My goal is to provide my students with the highest quality education possible.
My students are eager learners. As a fifth grade teacher, I try to make my classroom a joyous place of learning for everyone as I prepare them to move on to middle school in sixth grade.
My Project
Technology has become a huge part of the education process. My goal is to use this camera to make technology fun as my student learn and explore the ways technology crosses all subjects.
The applications for photos in education are endless, with uses for everything from home-school connections to showing best practices at work.
Even students who aren’t “techy” can harness the power of the camera to make big changes digitally in our classroom.
One way I am planning on putting this digital camera and accessories to work, is by having students document what we do in our classroom. They'll capture our classroom actively learning during science, social studies, literacy, math, and art.
The extra batteries and sim cards will allow my students to use the camera more successfully when we go on our annual 3-day 5th-grade camping trip.
