My students need an iPad to have access to more technology on a daily basis to accommodate their various learning styles and abilities.
This project expired on August 6, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Help expose my students to technology that is relevant in society, but may not be available in their home environment.
I teach 22 wonderful first grade students who love to learn with technology.
My students are of all different abilities and allowing them to work on their level is very important for their academic success. My students love to work with the 1 iPad we currently have in our classroom, but they don't get to work on it as often as they would like.
The additional iPad that I am requesting will allow my students the chance to work at their individual academic level, which will allow each student to be successful. My students will be able to work in groups of twos during centers taking part in learning tasks such as phonics, sight words, math, and other educational games. Exposing my students to this type of technology in my classroom on a daily basis is an effective and creative way to keep my students having fun while learning!
Technology is what these first grade students will grow up with, and allowing them to have as much exposure as possible at school will be very beneficial to their future.
Not all of my students have access to technology in their homes, so it is my goal to provide them with as many educational opportunities as possible.
