This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Where do you read about what's going on in the world today? Certainly not dated textbooks! In an AP Human Geography, it is so important for students to have access to the most current information.

Beginning this fall, I will be teaching all of the ninth graders at my high school in Texas.

My students will be coming from many different walks of life and socioeconomic backgrounds. For many, an iPad in the classroom will be their first opportunity to explore current technology.

My Project

I would like to purchase an iPad for my classroom. I have found that utilizing technology correctly is one of the greatest ways to engage students. My students will be able to use the classroom for a variety of different activities, such as reading, publishing, researching and documenting.

The skills my students will pick up by having access to an iPad will not only enhance their experience in my classroom, but also contribute to their success in other content areas as well.

The theme of AP Human Geography is globalization and how fast the world changes and I would like my students to feel in line, or even ahead, of the game as they prepare for college.
