This is a young, active, energetic group of kids that are witty and fun to be around. They come from many different backgrounds and family make-ups. Alot of them don't have much but are making the best of what is available. Their ability to keep smiling through life's struggles inspires me to do everything I can to give them valuable experiences.
They are smart and creative and love to be challenged.
All of my students are excited about being in my class and are always ready for whatever crazy idea I put in front of them. My favorite is when I challenge them to be creative. I am always impressed with what they muster up. It truly does amaze me. Many of the challenges I give to my students now were previously created by students.
Hillside is a small town but produces mighty citizens. I love my job because of the students. Hoping to help them more through this project.
My Project
There are many, many apps that can be used to make exercising fun and meaningful. These could include topics like yoga, physical challenges, team challenges, creative thinking and more. I will use the Amazon fire to incorporate these into my lessons. These would be great for small teams to share. In addition, It would make it more convenient to keep track of the students progress throughout to year.
In addition to using the Amazon fire for apps, I will use them with "flipped classroom".
I have recorded myself teaching every skill that I teach throughout the year. I can access these videos using google classroom and use them as a teaching tool during class time. This will allow me to help more students at once and increase the ability for student success.
