Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd grade students are full of joy and ready to learn. My school is a STEAM Academy Elementary School in a high-need community of Nevada. My students come from a variety of backgrounds but have one important thing in common, their eagerness to grow and learn! They love to invent, build, do science experiments, read, problem solve, and make friends as they work in groups. I enjoy watching their young minds explore and be creative as they work in the classroom.

My Project

Technology is a big component in our 2nd grade classroom! My students are using their ipads at least once a day for a variety of classroom activities for reading, math, science, and social studies. The chargers will give the students freedom to use their ipads at all hours of the school day without worrying that their ipad will not have any battery.

The headphones will help my students who are learning English and become more proficient in reading and fluency.

They will be able to hear phonetic sounds in learning programs, hear stories be read to them, and hear videos for research.
