This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Learning in the 21st century is hard without 21st century tools!

My students attend a kindergarten through eighth grade accelerated fast paced school in an urban setting.

These African American students engage in challenging higher order lessons which relies heavily on cooperative learning. Our students go on to thrive and excel in high school and beyond because of the educational foundation they receive at my school.

My Project

These students are eager to learn and grow. Our school is trying every year to provide more and more technology opportunities for our students. With this Mac Book I will have the opportunity to expose them to professional programs such as Final Cut Express, Keynotes, I-Photo, and I-Life. This digital technology will help the students as they research recycling for our district wide thematic unit project. Students will also be able to use video conferencing as a means to provide an expert to “visit” the classroom or for students to take a virtual field trip.

My students need a MacBook laptop to incorporate technology in their everyday life.

Most importantly the interactive and media-rich learning environment, will address individual student needs.
