My kindergarten students come to school with a wide array of skills and knowledge as some have attended preschool or daycare and others have stayed home. We are a diverse school with students coming to us from many different backgrounds and experiences.
We pride ourselves on building a strong sense of community and instilling a love of learning in all children.
My students are active learners and curious about the world around them. They love learning in a variety of ways including interacting with technology, creating/experimenting through hands-on learning and engaging in play. Because they come to kindergarten with a broad spectrum of learning experiences and background knowledge, it is important to meet their many diverse needs and learning styles.
My kindergarten classroom has 10 iPads and 3 Kindles for student use during instruction and work stations. Currently we do not have a effecient way to charge our iPads and Kindles and no organization method. We are charging each device one at a time or taking them to the library to leave and charge at a multi charging station when it is not in use. This results in lost instruction and productivity.
Having a charging cart would allow us to have immediate access to the iPads and Kindles to use during instruction
The cart would help with organization of our technology in a centralized location and the charging docks will allow devices to stay charged for students’ immediate access.
