This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am honored to be the math and science teacher to 36 wonderful students. Despite their varying economic backgrounds, home languages and family dynamics, they are eager to learn and want to move mountains!

With your help my inquisitive students will be able to explore and learn from the world around us that exists outside of the classroom walls.

At times my teaching is limited from limited technology. With your help my students will be able to have a more successful and productive year.

My Project

As a school we are moving from textbook work to interactive student centered work. Having a document camera will allow my class be able to share their work in a way that lets ALL students see their product at the same time. A document camera will also allow my students to show their thinking straight out of their journals in real time or manipulation of hands on materials. Many learn and think visually, yet when students share their work they are limited to oral sharing. Chromebooks will also be an asset to my students because their questions go beyond the textbook. Researching has become a way of life. Why not have a tool that fosters the need of knowing more in the classroom?
