This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing. They come to school every day wanting to learn even though many come from rough home lives. My students come into school with a smile on their face every day because they know there is always something positive waiting for them at the door each morning. No matter the task you give them and how tired they are, they always achieve greatness and it makes me so happy to see how hard they work every day.

My Project

The use of technology is extremely helpful in getting students engaged and focused on their learning. Technology like iPads can help create paperless classrooms by allowing me to put things online for my students to see (like in a Google classroom). They can also do projects online and then send them to me virtually!

The generation of students that I teach are very interested in technology, so I want to use it to engage the disengaged students in my classroom!

Many students in my class come from low-income households and do not get to experience things that other children their age get to experience. With technology like iPads, my students can go on "virtual field trips" using an app like Skype or Google Earth. I also have many English Language Learners in my classroom who would greatly benefit from having a way to quickly look up a word or a picture of something that they are not familiar with!
