My students need Chromebooks, technology at their fingertips. As we are in a growing technological world, the students of Aurora deserve an opportunity to more widely develop their 21st century skills by having chrome books available.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a Spanish / English bilingual charter, whose mission it is to provide a bilingual education. The students of our school are 99% Latino. They come from immigrant parents who have arrived to give their children, infinite opportunities that are available in the United States. Many come from small towns in Mexico or Ecuador.
These students are an amazing group, with warm hearts and a thirst for knowledge, who work hard to bring pride to their families.
They deserve every opportunity of education and resources.
My Project
By providing our students technology at their fingertips, you will be helping to provide them with more opportunities.
In the Language Arts classroom, chrome books will provide us with daily access to technology, to incorporate multi modal projects into our daily lessons.
Next year, we are looking forward to completing some cross curricular units with science, social studies, math and language arts. These projects will apply a multitude of common core standards, as students will be using the chrome books to research, create, and publish their projects. As many of our students come from a low SES families, this will continue to help refine their skills in the field, when many do not have access to their own chrome books or computers at home.
Our students will enter high school feeling prepared and current, with having all of the tech skills needed to be successful.
