My preschoolers are enrolled in a program from the community that serves low income families. This program serves preschool age children from all cultures, areas, and various incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district. My energetic preschoolers enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore.
Each child has a unique learning style.
That's why it's important for those of us in early childhood education to understand and sometimes cater to the diversity of learning styles in the classroom environment, and they can benefit greatly from a wide variety of classroom materials. Learning through play is the most beneficial way for children of this age group to grow, develop, and prosper. I feel it is of high importance for me to give back to these growing minds, and for that, I need your help.
My Project
Our children need a table and chair set to have a place to sit and engage with the classroom educational tablets! Tablets encourage the children to be independent learners, demonstrate fine motor skills, listen to and understand complex language, follow directions, demonstrate positive approaches to learning, use classification skills, demonstrate phonological awareness and knowledge of the alphabet.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work.
The product that I have selected will help my students by giving them a place for tablet time to make more effective learning choices.
