Technology and Headphones for 2nd Grade Students

Help me give my students access to more technology. Chromebooks are great to add more devices in my classroom and headphones help as well so that students may work quietly as they learn with educational programs.

My Students

My students are amazing seven and eight year old children who are striving and excited to absorb new knowledge and gain understanding of second grade concepts. I have been given notes by students that say they love school and are excited to learn and be in my class. They are eager to learn new concepts. Due to the Covid pandemic, more computers are needed in my classroom so that more students will have the opportunity for individualized instruction with programs such as Lexia, Reflex and i-Ready.

The students in my classroom come from all walks of life from those who have a lower socioeconomic status to a higher socioeconomic status.

They are all eager to learn new concepts and show kindness and compassion to me and to their classmates as they are willing to share the devices that we have now. I love my students.

My Project

We use Chromebooks daily in 2nd Grade and having more devices in my classroom will definitely aid in providing more individualized instruction. Therefore having additional Chromebooks to make them more accessible for more of my students, would be very beneficial to my student's classroom learning. Increasing the amount of Chromebooks would be a huge asset for my classroom.

Having each of the students have their own headphones would also be beneficial to each of my students.

The headphones would help in creating a more quiet instructional atmosphere in the classroom. The students would use the headphones while they are working and learning with their literacy and math educational programs. Headphones would help them to stay focused while they are having fun and learning at the same time.
