My Students

Calling all builders! 5th grade students use K'NEX to design and build inventions, as part of our technology and engineering unit.

My students love science because it is place where they can experiment with different tools and materials.

They love investigating, taking risks and working collaboratively. It is exciting for them to track the process of an investigation and bring a blue print to life.

My Project

Students will use K'NEX to construct and build simple machines. They are provided with the opportunity to acquire skills using a hands-on, inquiry based approach to information and concepts. Working cooperatively, students are encouraged to interact with each other as they build, investigate, discuss and evaluate scientific principles in action.

This project will make a difference because it will allow my students to have the materials they need to design and build working models of simple machines.

They will use the K'NEX to bring their ideas to life, while working collaboratively and using the scientific process.
