Marching band instills creativity, musicianship, and unity for our students. Our marching band is made up of students in grades 8-12. Growing stronger each day, they instill their work ethic by practicing their music and learning their coordinates for their marching show, as well as mentorship and comradery among students.
The marching band consists students of a rural Texas community.
They enjoy performing exciting shows for their school and their community. They take pride in their accomplishments while looking forward to this fall marching season to present a challenging and entertaining half-time performance.
My Project
Our marching band is growing leaps and bounds but they need practical practice materials including the implementation of technology in order to be successful in their performances and competitions. Marching band practice utilizing technology resources is essential part of rehearsals as students are learning new marching shows for competitions and other performances. These practice pads will provide a portable opportunity for students to practice their music for the marching band show at home or any where on the go.
A notepad will help provide resources to the band as they are rehearsing on the field.
These resources include audio metronome, tuning applications, and the ability to correct marching show points and design without having to leave the rehearsal field. In addition, this resource will allow for drill sets to be sent directly to students while in rehearsal.
