My students need laptop sleeves to protect our devices, wireless mice to navigate the laptops and chromebooks with ease, mouse pads,and two 5-in-1 solution kits for the Samsung Galaxy view.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are always excited and eager to learn new things. Our classroom consists of a diverse group of students from typical students to those with learning disabilities. Most students don’t have access to technology at home, so a lot of them are only exposed to technology when they’re in school. I have an inquisitive group of students, who are always eager to work with technology.
They attend a Title I school where they all qualify for free breakfast and lunch.
The majority of them come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
My students need mice, and mouse pads to best experience the many wonderful Reading and Math websites available to them. They love Flocabulary.com, Newsela.com and MobyMax.com! The mice will allow my students to easily follow the directions given with the mice. The mice will allow support for students that have difficulty with using their fingers to navigate their way using the Chromebook. It will increase confidence with using the tools to edit their work as well as toggle back and forth between tabs while doing research. The mouse pads reduce the noise and distraction of the mice on the tables. The laptop sleeves will be used to protect our laptops without covers. The solution kits for the Galaxy Views will provide enhanced support for those students that have difficulty navigating through the touch screen feature.
We’ve blessed to have laptops, tablets and Chromebooks donated to our classroom, and these accessories will enhance the students' learning experience with reading and mathematical concepts.
These necessary tools will help all of my students reach their weekly goals in our school's provided computer programs.
