I teach a group of regular education, special education, and ESL students. This group of students is a diverse group of learners from a range of backgrounds. Many of my students are from the refugee population. In order to meet my students' needs, I integrate Personalized Learning, Project Based Learning and STEAM-based activities into my classroom on a daily basis. My students enjoy using technology to select activities and assignments that not only interest them, but enhance their learning on an individual basis.
My Project
My students utilize the classroom Chromebooks and iPads on a daily basis. The Chromebooks/iPads provide the performance and flexibility for a wide range of learning activities so students are more engaged in their learning while demonstrating greater mastery of the 21st-century skills. They provide an infinite number of online texts and interactive tools as well as a range of dynamic web-based applications. By having wireless headphones and mice my students will be able to utilize their Chromebooks and iPads in the classroom in a more efficient manner. The students will be able to work quietly and focus more on their personalized learning. Using regular headphones is problematic because they break frequently and the wear and tear causes the headphones jacks to break/get stuck in the Chromebooks/iPads Also, the wireless mice would be very helpful for the students that have trouble using the attached Chromebook mouse. This will allow my class to maximize our productivity using our technology center.
