The performing arts at our school are a place where students can create, persevere, and thrive. We work together to make our music and theater, and we build on our skills every day.
The students involved in our performing arts program are driven to succeed and rise to every challenge presented to them.
Of the 650 students at our school, 115 are instrumental music students,40 are in the vocal music program and another 40 in the drama program. My students have the desire to be better and succeed.
My Project
Our music program is making the shift to using more technology to promote independent learning and improve our musicianship through the use of SmartMusic. We currently do not have enough technology to allow students to have access to this program in class or from school, so most SmartMusic usage must be done from home.
Having access to Chromebooks and iPad technology will allow students to access our SmartMusic program from school.
With the addition of two Chromebooks specifically for our music program, we will have the ability for multiple students to use the program at school, furthering the impact of the technology available to our students.
