My Students

My school is a Title I high poverty school. We serve many families living in poverty and struggling to meet the basic needs for their children. 60% of our population qualify for free or reduced price lunch. 15% of our families are homeless and many of our families receive weekend food assistance in their child's backpack. My Kindergarten students need to learn and move, move, move! It takes hundreds of repetitions to learn beginning skills. We would be forever grateful for your donation!

My Project

Technology is the windshield to the world. It has the ability to give children experiences that they have never had, visit locations that they have never been, and interact with cultures that they have never seen. This is especially important in the high poverty community that I teach in, where opportunity is limited.

These iPad accessories will help my students' learning come alive by creating an interactive and engaging learning environment.

I will be using the Osmos and Tiggly accessories in small groups, where my students can collaborate. They can be used in a variety of subjects and allow me to differentiate the instruction that takes place.
