My Students

I LOVE that my students are eager to learn and appreciate my planning of instruction that engages them in the mathematical concepts required for our courses. I incorporate a variety of techniques to keep my students engaged - hands-on activities, group seating, real-world projects, interactive notebooks, etc. I have spent many dollars out of my own pocket to provide the supplies needed, so that my students don’t have to come up with the money to purchase these supplies.

My Project

These TI 84 calculators are a must-have for my students to be prepared for the future math courses they will take. They need to know how to use them to help effectively and quickly get the solutions to their math problems and processes. Having access to these calculators keeps them up to date in using the tools that are available to help them be successful math learners. Since the beginning of the year, I have asked my students to try and purchase their own TI 84 graphing calculator. 60% of my students can’t afford to purchase one of these calculators, so a classroom set will help get me started in providing these opportunities for them in my classroom.
