Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students in South Texas are humble and honest students. We have a shelter in place occurring for at least a month. The majority will be the first in their families to go to college. We are a title 1 school with about 1,000 students.
Most of my students do not have the means to proper technology.
The students and I are using Zoom to conference and work on the the assignments given to them either in digital form or packets. The students are using their phones to view me to help them with their work.
My Project
With the shelter-at-home taking place in our community, I am unequipped to help my students with their homework. I would use the digital tablet and pen to use the whiteboard feature on Zoom with efficiency and accuracy. For the sticky white paper and markers, I would write the main concepts behind me before going into examples and the work given out to the students. The headset has a mic and it will help me communicate with my students without the need to raise my voice every time that I speak.
I am asking for this technology to help me help my students with distance learning via the computer.
