My Students
Our classroom includes students from very diverse backgrounds. We are a Title I school that also has a very large military population. My classroom in particular is the inclusion classroom for second grade. This means that with help of an educational specialist, I service students with IEPS in the general education setting. These students learn in the general education setting but with many accommodations to fit their individual needs. A major factor many of these students struggle with is difficulty focusing and staying on task.
My Project
Adding 2 more computers to our classroom will move us closer to our goal of becoming 1:1 with technology. Our students have access to wonderful educational programs that engages them on their independent learning levels. With students having more time working independently on their level, the amount of growth achieved in a year can be tremendous. We need more technology to increase each student’s time with technology. Utilizing station learning, our students will be able to work independently on the computers while I work in a small group setting providing the most successful form of instruction with each and every student daily.
