My Students

I teach in a rural school district in Kansas, where more than 70% of our students receive free and reduced lunch due to barriers in their home lives. For most of my students, coming to school is their safe place, saving grace, and something they truly look forward to.

My students are bright, intelligent, curious learners who are striving to become life-long learners.

I want to give them every resource possible to nurture their love of learning every single day.

My Project

Students will be able to participate in Project-Based Learning where they will use practical life skills to help them extend their learning from the classroom into their personal lives. These projects will incorporate skills from literacy, math, science, and social studies. Students will be able interact with their peers in a positive manner and build relationships with each other, growing our classroom culture.

They will acquire social skills through collaboration, teamwork, and effective communication with their peers.

The implementation of this technology will help develop interactive lessons and will also provide the least restrictive environment to accommodate all learners in our classroom.
