My Students

We have diverse learners at very different academic levels. Many students are English as a Second Language Learners. We also have a child with physical disabilities due to Multiple Sclerosis. These children need to learn through spatial movement, visual prompts and musical/auditory prompting as well. These children have a wide range of needs that can surely be met by accommodation to strengthen their individual learning processes. They are bright, motivated children who need to be in an open, exciting and stimulating environment that allows them to extend the curriculum at hand. Let's make this happen for them and bring these materials to them this school year!

My Project

Having an iPad and OSMO will allow stimulation beyond the textbook and classroom provided materials that will be used during small group centers and extra allotted time. My ESL students, struggling students and advanced learners will all benefit from these items. We are able to connect the district provided programs to tablets and extend lessons and allow for extra practice. This allows creativity and self sufficiency to flourish and fosters a well balanced and well managed classroom environment. For some of the children, it will be the only technology that they will use daily. We need to make learning relevant, engaging and motivating all while keeping up with the technological trends.
