Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My middle school students are energetic and eager learners. They are special to our school because despite their families' economic challenges they continue to dedicate themselves to their education.

Thirty-eight percent of my students reside in subsidized housing projects.

Our school is a Title I community which provides 98% of our children free and reduced-price meals..

My Project

These three computers will assist me in providing the technology needed to support online testing. My students are required to learn how to use computers to complete online Reading, Math, and Science quarterly assessments during the year.

Our school is currently experiencing a shortage in one-to-one computer devices for Middle School students.

Currently, my students have to test at different times or share computers to complete quarterly and end of year state testing These Chromebooks will assist students in meeting the demands of State Test.

With state testing requiring districts to participate in computer-based assessments, my students need to have one-to-one computers access throughout the school year to successfully complete these test.

Our school desperately needs a total of ten Chromebooks; however, these computers will help.
