My Students

My school serves students in Kindergarten to 5th grade and provides rigorous academics, hardworking teachers and a safe learning environment for all. We are one of the top performing schools in our district, which is the 5th largest in the country. However, closing the achievement gap is tough when students do not have the necessary materials to succeed. My fifth graders love to have novels to read as a class, it encourages class discussions and allows students to learn while being engaged as a class.

My Project

My students must keep up with the latest advancements in educational technology to spark an interest in reading & math. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students.

A blended learning model incorporating technology will help my students rotate in their reading and math groups.

We use two online programs for reading and math for students to practice and hone their skill sets. Having chrome books readily available will ensure all students have the necessary technology equipment they need to rotate between learning group stations and achieve their individual learning goals in my classroom!
