The students in my classroom are very bright and engaged students that need constant rigor. Everyday they amaze me with the amount of information that they know. My students are working to go against all preconceptions about who they will become just because of where they are from. Our school is a Title 1 school where all of the students receive free breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner.
My students need someone to believe in them constantly and one way to do that is to provide them with things that will help them grow as learners.
These students can not go home and ask for everything that they want and know they will get it, but through Donors Choose I can give them the things in the classroom that will help them with their education.
My Project
The Lenovo laptops will provide the students in my classroom with the opportunity to explore the world of technology. In our students lifetime everything has become reliant on technology and I want to prepare them for the world. We would do that by conducting research projects, exploring Microsoft applications, and participating in educational games to grow my students.
Not only will this prepare my students for a technology filled future, but it will also engage the students that struggle with just pencil and paper work.
This will ultimately cut down on behavior issues of my very intelligent children who need more rigor in their daily routine. I would also like to begin a pen pal routine in our classroom to where they send letters to their fellow third graders.
