My students need 5 tablets to incorporate technology in the classroom.

A typical day in my classroom is full of energy and eager students that are ready to learn. They also love to use technology whenever they get the chance! "Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important." - Bill Gates
My students are awesome!
As a first year teacher, it is fun getting to know all of their different personalities. The thing I have noticed that they don't get enough of is the use of technology. They love using technology whenever they can get their hands on it.
I would love to incorporate the tablets during our small group time in math and language arts. During math, there are plenty of apps that my students would be able to use to improve their math facts fluency. During language arts, I really want to get my students to improve their reading comprehension. With tablets, I can easily download books onto it so that the students can read them (or it can read to them for my lower readers). There are also plenty more educational apps out there for language arts as well.
Having tablets in the classroom would also make a tremendous difference in my students' multiplication and division facts fluency along with their reading comprehension.
My students have to pass the reading portion of the CRCT in order to be promoted to the 4th grade and this would be an excellent resource to help improve their reading comprehension.
