Tech Savvy in SC
My students need these Chromebooks to enhance their learning through technology.
Teaching in a second grade classroom full of energetic and inquisitive students is such a rewarding experience! I have been blessed to teach 2nd grade for 4 years now.
Each year I try to change and grow to better enhance my teaching.
This year I would like to add chromebooks to grow student learning through technology. Our school is located in Summerville, SC. We are a Title I school where more than half of our students are from low-income households.
Despite these obstacles, my students are always eager to learn new things!
In the age of technology, many of my low-socioeconomic students do not have computers at home. I want them to have the same experiences and hands-on technological experiences as other students. Having these chromebook with give them experience in typing skills by creating their own e-books and printable books, word processing skills, appropriate researching for science and social studies standards and how to properly surf the internet while obtaining the information they need.
Being able to use these chromebooks individually will give them the confidence they need to be successful in our very technological world that we live in today!
