Help me give my students a technologically advanced education with an iPad that connects to a Smartboard, this way they can use the iPad to project their work or ven show us on the board!
Many of my students are the first in their family to make it to high school. All hope and strive to reach an even higher goal: graduate high school and attend college. My students attend an inner city high school, where more than 80% of them are at risk for dropping out and are economically disadvantaged.
Although my students arrive to my freshman English class with such disadvantages, they have a burning desire and need for learning about their world.
My Project
This iPad will connect to a Smartboard and allow me to project student work and write on the board from afar. Students will be able to write on the board from their seat!
This is a new way of teaching that my students from low income communities deserve an education with the latest technology and a teacher who is willing to fight to get more for them.
So many advantages in their homes, neighborhoods, and in their minds already disadvantage them, but technology access will not be a struggle with this iPad and accessories. An iPad is a simple device, but one that will make a difference in my classroom and teaching.
