This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
These hardworking students attend a Title I city school and are 97% African American learners with a sustainable special education population. The majority of the students are functioning slightly below reading comprehension and Math levels according to the district's projections.
These students are in need of these supplies to complete their class set and learning tools.
They are a fun-loving, creative group who are "owning" their learning as best they can. This community of learners is prepared to work to succeed; they understand their roles and responsibilities as they relate to their education.
My Project
My students are in need of two more tablets and a pencil sharpener! We need these tools to help enrich our learning environment. We are constantly crippled by insufficient tablets and broken pencils, color pencils and dull sharpeners.
We need a complete class set of tablets and sharpened points!
Having insufficient tablets for each student is disheartening for some learners.
Walking into class with our 4 pencils in hand and no sharpener to maintain the points becomes frustrating for all. We waste a lot of instructional time waiting or borrowing pencils and / sharpeners to get our work done.
Please help us tech-plete our classroom supplies through this project.
