My students need technology in the classroom that can give them access to learning in different ways.

I have an exciting 7:1:1 class of students who are in a low-income/high poverty school district. They have moderate to severe disabilities. I have two non-verbal students that require a lot of extra support. Most of them need sensory tools that can help. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I want to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
Technology gives students better access to information, especially my nonverbal students who feel limited in participating in class.
My students are very creative and excited to learn new things.
With the appropriate support, we will be able to accomplish a lot together as a class family. With sensory needs they require additional support to function better in the classroom.
We don't have reliable technology in our classroom and this will be enough to provide some students the ability to rotate and use the materials. We do not have a working smart board in the class and so I added a small projector so I can show videos and pictures to students. This is great for students who cannot read. because it will give them access to pictures and associate them with what they are learning so the lesson aren't as abstract.
These programs help students with moderate to severe disabilities to be able to access as much as they can.
In order to use programs for my students, I need to have enough storage and at least 3 Chromebooks to separate the class so they can use the chrome books. I got the yoga chrome books and laptop because some students may be too involved and turn the laptops too much and I don't want them to break. So having a flexible chrome book will make the more durable. These programs store data for each student hence using the computer with more storage 128 GB.
Students find it hard to connect what they learn from answering questions on worksheets and so this is an opportunity to allow students access to complete activities in their independent workstations. We cover skills such as doing research for the content we read about and without these Chromebooks, my students won't be able to find this information.
