Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Imagine not knowing where your next meal will come from, or where you will sleep tonight. That is a hardship a majority of my students deal with daily. They don't, however, let this define them, or their outlook on their education.
Many of my students have never left the small town they have grown up in.
My students are resilient, motivated, and eager to learn from the mistakes they make. The students in my room are grateful for the opportunities they receive in my classroom and know they deserve the education they receive when they enter my room. They are dedicated to the cause, and I am dedicated to them.
My Project
Integrating technology will open up new learning opportunities that would not be possible otherwise. The availability of this technology will allow my students to receive personalized learning experiences, making data-driven instruction more achievable. This technology will allow students to collaborate with their peers, as they engage in project-based learning.
Technology will never be a replacement for an effective teacher, but when we coalesce great teaching with innovative uses of technology, great gains are made.
Having this additional technology will provide my students with an opportunity to think on higher levels, as they will be able to apply and synthesize concepts in an alternative forum.
