My Students

I work with an amazing group of third graders! They have a range of disabilities, but all have the ability to reach their goals! Technology is a huge part of their learning and even some of their goals. I want to have the ability to better differentiate my instruction to meet all of their needs! Some of my students require specialized lieracy programs or mathematics interventions that are best accessed on efficient technology. My students work so hard every day that providing them with a device that might make their day just a little bit easier would mean the world to them!

My Project

Students with special needs require more than just the average pencil and paper. They need differentiation and individualized supports that can foster their way of learning and thinking. Every child has the ability to succeed if they have the right tools and teachers to foster their best self! There are tons of specialized programs for students with special needs that have research based evidence supporting their success. Having efficient and advanced technology in my classroom will allow better access for my students to those programs! Tablets would allow my students to work more independently and offer more flexible seating options than being seated at a computer table plugged into the wall!
