My Students

Our school is located in New York. I have students of all different nationalities as well as with all different learning needs.

My room is filled with an amazingly diverse group of students who are energetic, motivated, and all have a common love for learning.

Each student works hard in school, however many of them are left without help once they go home. Many of their parents work long hours, and many of these children leave school only to go to an after care program until the evening.

These children love to learn. They are creative, imaginative, and inspiring students who amaze me each and every day.

My Project

Teaching in an ENL classroom is a challenge. All students have individual needs that need to be met, and sometimes, it can be a challenge to do so.

One thing we would like to use more to meet their individual needs is technology.

There are so many programs and websites that can be used to provide supplemental work using technology. Students can log onto a site and practice what they need help in or have the opportunity to be challenged. Using technology in the classroom excites the students, so having more computers in the classroom for them to use, will help drive their desire to learn. This is why we need your help. Having the additional Chromebooks will provide our students with such amazing opportunities to learn and practice the skills they need to be successful in the classroom and in life.
