My Students

We are an 8:1:1 self-contained classroom in a specialized school district in New York City. All of the students are on the autism spectrum, and experience the world in unique ways.

My class loves exploring new ideas and places.

They are inquisitive and excited about learning new things.

Our class members are all learning how to appropriately socialize and interact with their peers and adults. These boys are eager to participate in interactive, hands-on opportunities throughout the classroom and school community.

My Project

This project will give my students the ability to research new topics, learn word processing skills, and gain greater independence through the use of Chromebooks!

Having easy access to Chromebooks will help them develop the skills they need to complete research on their own.

My students love learning new things about topics that interest them.

Chromebooks will give my students the technology skills they need for high school, college, and future 21st century careers. We will learn how to type, navigate the internet safely, and care for our technology.

Using computers to drive our learning will motivate my class to investigate new ideas.
