My Students

Do you remember how exciting it was to publish your writing? Help my students make publishing more exciting with technology!

My class is chock full of bright, curious, and intellectual second graders with a love for learning in New Jersey.

My kids enjoy reading and writing time, but sometimes find the length of the writing process to be laborious at their age and stage of development. With a camera for digital publishing, they can keep their interest and learning level high!

My Project

I am requesting a Canon Powershot SX260 digital camera and a 4 gigabyte memory card for my students. This camera and memory card will enable e-publishing for kids! My students will be hooked on writing more often because they can hear and see their writing being published. They can share it with anyone without making a paper copy. Additionally, for reading, they can publish their own reader's theater with the HD recording feature.

In a tech-savvy world, different means of publishing are becoming necessary.

Electronic publishing is becoming the norm, so students need to learn how the medium works. My students will get a leg up with their new camera!
