Tech classrooms are the key to real world engagement within our school. My classroom has 26 Kindergarten through 5th grade students who are classified as having a high percentage of low and at risk students in Warsaw Missouri.
I have students with disabilities in a special education classroom who can’t stay focused in traditional teaching.
Our students need some extra help to keep them engaged in learning and school. What better way to create unity and help close the achievement gap then using technology!
My Project
My special education students need technology devices, like iPads and Chromebooks, to help them engage in basic learning and meeting and setting personal goals. By having technology in students' hands, my students can turn learning into a fun engaging activity.
These devices will also help us to goal set and progress monitor our learning.
By offering a visual of students progress and growth, we can remain active and positive in our learning. iPads offer more apps and functions that will truly help my students in all subjects. My students struggle with traditional learning and need material and facts presented in new interesting and engaging ways!
