If you were to walk into my classroom, you would see a hands-on, child-centered room, full of excitement. My students are amazing. We are a small community, with farm families to suburban student transfers. We come with a vast variety of experiences to share.
In my classroom, we always say,"We are a family." We spend the year sharing and caring for one another.
My classroom is a safe and fun environment where we take care of one another. I want to provide my students with as many experiences as they can have before they leave my classroom that will enrich their learning. My hope is that I spur their interests and inspire them to be all they can be. My job is to prepare them and solidify the building blocks for the following years of schooling. I hope they will take a nugget of their learning from my room with them all the days of their life.
My Project
By purchasing these Chromebooks, this will allow me to have two Chromebooks per center. Each center would be able to use the devices for data entry, research, and assignments. My hope is to allow each center to have the capability to record and present their findings to the class while using the Google classroom to enter their data into graphs and charts for our class to interpret. This will allow real-world experiences and opportunities for growth, ownership of their learning and collaborative group work. The flip Chromebook will allow me to walk around and assess students using a touch screen and to keep more individualized records of student knowledge.
