Help me give my students the tools for digital learning. The Chromebooks and Macbook with allow research and production of top of the line presentations. These students deserve the best to reach their full potential.
My students come to class daily ready to learn. They always read the board and start working on what is asked of them. As they come in in the morning some have breakfast and some just work. At our school every student receives free breakfast if they choose and free lunch. We are in Robeson County, NC and we are Title 1.
I truly have no idea what my students go through at home every night so I do my best to to make it a warm inviting room where they feel comfortable and welcome.
I want the best for my students and we have a great support system, but in a low income district there is always need for more.
My Project
With these chromebooks and Macbook my students will be able to complete research and create presentations/movies. By me guiding them they will have more ownership of the work and better retain the information. Our county has google accounts for each child and wifi in every room but technology/ devices are scarce at my school and the recent hurricane has pushed back funding. With access to these items my students can truly compete in our ever changing world. Studying math and science can be even better if we bring in the digital world to make true connections and have up to date information.
