Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located in the south Bronx with a high population of English language learners. We have a bilingual program and offer English as a New Language services for our multilingual students. Many of our students come from temporary or low-income housing. They have struggled to adapt to life during the pandemic but have always kept their sense of humor and kindness.

My students are full of personality and so enjoyable to be around.

My Project

The use of headphones will eliminate distractions in the classroom because students will no longer have to hear video/audio sounds from other students' computers. The sharpener is meant for classroom use so that students won't have to waste class time sharpening their pencils with their manual sharpeners.

Many of our students can get easily distracted in the classroom and my goal is to prevent this from happening as often so that students can focus on the task at hand.

We want them to be focused and ready to learn during class time.
