This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you remember how much excitement you had playing sports as a child? I see that spark everyday in my students and want to keep it alive for them as they continue to grow and mature. My students show a remarkable, stunning commitment to learning both inside the classroom and on the court (whichever court that may be). I want to make after school activities just as rewarding as those inside the classroom. Extracurricular are a vital part of school and a student's life.

My Project

My students on the school's new soccer team need equipment to practice and for games. Many students within our community have a limited access to team sports after school. Our soccer club will support the need within our community while joining in on efforts of team building. All students within our school will have the opportunity to join this club. The equipment requested will allow students to build skills as an athlete while also learning the necessities of soccer. The soccer balls are needed as a lot of our equipment is outdated and needs replacement. The pop up portable goals will allow us to continue this club into the winter for an indoor soccer club!
