Team Sports - Wrestling Gear

Help me give my students the headgear, shoes and singlets to make them successful wrestlers. This equipment will help improve their self-esteem and self-image. The students, our school and our community will all benefit from successful student athletes.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We have many students with low esteem and self image issues who can benefit. Student athletes wrestle other students in their own weight class. So, whether a student weighs 100 pounds or 300 pounds, they can be a winner and a champion with the requested wrestling shoes.

Wrestling is a sanctioned sport in Arkansas for both boys and girls.

I was surprised and excited when I did a survey and found out that more girls wanted to wrestle than boys!

I know from personal experience what a difference it can make in the lives of students. Scholarships are available to students who are too short for basketball or too small for football. I am passionate to provide the benefits of a wrestling team to the students here and in the future, all the schools in the area.
