My Students

I am an elementary P.E. teacher at a school with 57% diversity and 71% free or reduced lunch. I have been teaching PE for 42 years and some of my equipment could really be replaced or upgraded. I serve approximately 475 students in kindergarden through fifth grade.

Our school needs to replace well used PE equipment as well as offer new equipment for additional activities for students.

Students are able to come to PE twice a week, as well as, participate in before school activities such as unicycle riding, jump roping, and tumbling. I also offer after school sport participation in tumbling, track, unicycles, cross-country, and orienteering.

My Project

These pinnies will be used weekly when students come to P.E. We often divide into teams to learn new games and sports. Our old pinnies are shredded and tearing. The students deserve to have good quality P.E. equipment.

These pinnies (colored over vests) are critical for being able for students to see who is on which team.

It makes team games and sports much more fun and less confusing. Students run around and get excited playing, and it is critical that they are able to see who is on which team. These bright colored pinnies will provide clarity and students will be happy to have new ones.
