My students need a team building field trip that introduces them to an activity that they have never experienced before.
This project expired on September 11, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I am blessed to work with an incredible community of students. They are so sweet and so excited about learning and expanding their horizons. Many of them come from a small, family-oriented community and have attended the same district since pre-K. They share a deep bond with their families, our school community, and they look forward to giving back to those who have helped them. But first they want to learn and explore!!
I am constantly surprised and inspired by my students.
My Psychology of Wellness class is focused on helping students to actively participate in cultivating a personal sense of wellness. They will be learning about meditation, the benefits of sleep, exercise, and nutrition, and how to reflect and modify their own habits. They will create vision boards and write personal manifestos.
Wellness also means having something that inspires you; an activity or hobby that makes you feel passionate and curious and full of wonder.
My students do not have many opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities because many of them work or care for siblings. I would like to take them on this rock climbing adventure to foster team building, but also to spark curiosity and passion.
I want my students to get a glimpse of all the amazing activities that are out there so they feel inspired to keep trying new things and exploring the world around them.
